Steamboat Springs Flying Club members are some of Steamboat's most influential leaders.
Airplane Ownership
We do not rent planes
As an LLC, the Members own the airplanes
and any other assets of the LLC. A member-elected Board makes the basic day-to-day decisions, with each member having an equal vote in the affairs of the Club.
All our aircraft are used by the members and no one else. No rentals, or scheduling conflicts.
Online Scheduling
Members see who's flying
Want to take a couple touch and goes before an upcoming trip? Check the schedule and reserve your plane for 45 minutes and get it done. Local flights as well as cross country flights are visible in Flight Schedule Pro, so you can hitch a ride with pilots going to the same destinations.
Club Operations
Memberships are charged a one time fee to join and monthly dues. This monthly charge covers aircraft and pilot insurance, hanger use, and aircraft maintenance.
The aircrafts are then flown at “cost”, which we estimate to be about $165-175/hour (fuel costs are included but change frequently so the hourly fee fluctuates accordingly).
Our Fleet
Two planes available for ease of reservations, quick trips and long travel.
Cessna 172K Skyhawk - N998M
Also known as the Skyhawk XP (eXtra-Power). The 190hp engine makes this a great mountain flying and training aircraft.
Upon meeting the specified level of experience, a move to the Skylane will make the cross countries more comfortable and a little faster. This plane is IFR Rated and allows you to take your flying to the next level.
